Hide It

If you ever find one of your files not working for some strange reason then maybe you may want to check the file extension. And it can also be a neat trick to play on one of your friends. Every file has its own internal file signature that says exactly what kind of file it is, however this signature is not displayed normally. What you normally see is an external file signature, which can easily be manipulated with the rename feature of an operating. If the external signature does not match the internal one, then when the file is selected to be run, it will not run correctly and you might receive an error. This rather simple trick, but largely overlooked aspect of why some files don’t work is why with a little knowledge about this you can either help your friends get that “Beethoven.jpg” to play in on their iPod’s correctly, since it should actually be called “Beethoven.mp3”.

This is actually what many people do when trying to cover up files that they have on their computers. Changing “Bank Robbery Plans.doc” to “My Summer Vacation.png” can distract one from what is actually there. This is just one way to take attention away from sensitive data that you may have one you computer. Want to use technology to mess with your not so tech-savvy friends even more, take their files and move them into a folder and set its properties to hidden and as like magic, they will not be able to see their files, unless there enable the show hidden files option, which is disabled by default. This is also a good way to prevent yourself from accidentally deleting important documents that you need.

MacSpeech

MacSpeech is one of the best products out there for speech recognition, simply because it is able to transform your spoken words into text on your screen. You can sit back and talk to your Mac and have it do all the work. The average price of the product is between $154.99 and $199.99 on most websites, and this is not steep at all when you consider that in the box you will receive the software and a noise-cancelling headset so that you can start dictating as soon as you purchase it.

You simply need to take a few minutes to train the program to recognize your voice and in a few minutes you will be able to open programs, write essays for class/work, and keep your hands at bay.

Not only does it write what you speak, but it can read what you have written and other documents as well with near perfect accuracy.

The program types as fast as you speak; saving you time and making you much more productive. Imagine having a document done in half the time simply because you didn’t have to type every letter, rather you only had to open up a document and speak away.

Purchase MacSpeech it's worth every penny.

Lakers vs Nuggets Game 2

The Lakers took on the Nuggets earlier this week in game two of the series. Both Anthony and Bryant had the most points for their respective teams, but it was a series of late blunders that determined this battle.`

Nearing the end of the second quarter, Billups passed the ball to himself from out of bounds by bouncing the ball off of Kobe's back and then scoring the layup.

Star Trek

The new Star Trek movie is an awesome combination of visual effects and  great story line.  I give it 2 thumbs up and have watched it 4 times already, the special effects are key in my like for the movie.

Height

Does height really affect the way people view you and themselves.

Comparison & Contrast of EPOS by Robert Bridges and Eros by Anne Stevenso

Two of the deepest poems on terms of meaning . Can you decipher the meaning behind the poems and if you can not here is some help.

Eros

Why hast thou nothing in thy face?
Thou idol of the human race,
Thou tyrant of the human heart,
The flower of lovely youth that art;
Yea, and that standest in thy youth
An image of eternal Truth,
With thy exuberant flesh so fair,
That only Pheidias might compare,
Ere from his chaste marmoreal form
Time had decayed the colours warm;
Like to his gods in thy proud dress,
Thy starry sheen of nakedness.

Surely thy body is thy mind,
For in thy face is nought to find,
Only thy soft unchristen’d smile,
That shadows neither love nor guile,
But shameless will and power immense,
In secret sensuous innocence.

O king of joy, what is thy thought?
I dream thou knowest it is nought,
And wouldst in darkness come, but thou
Makest the light where’er thou go.
Ah yet no victim of thy grace,
None who e’er long’d for thy embrace,
Hath earned to look upon thy face.
